Booking & Quote
Everything you need to know to request a quote, confirm a reservation and prepare your service in just a few clicks.
How can I book a chauffeur with LAP – Like a Parisian?
You can book a private chauffeur in three ways: directly online through our quote request form, by phone on +44 7341 153261 (24/7), or by email. The fastest path is the online form: select your service (transfer, hourly hire or VIP), fill in the date, pickup point, destination, number of passengers and any special request, and our team will reply within a few minutes with a tailor-made quote and a precise availability confirmation.
How far in advance should I book a private chauffeur in Paris?
For a standard transfer in Paris or to CDG / Orly / Le Bourget, we recommend booking at least 12 to 24 hours in advance to guarantee the vehicle of your choice. For a mise à disposition (hourly hire) or a VIP service, the ideal lead time is 48 to 72 hours, especially during the high season (Fashion Week, Roland-Garros, Cannes Festival, salons and trade shows). That said, LAP also handles last-minute requests within the hour whenever a vehicle is available.
Will I receive a confirmation once my booking is validated?
Yes. As soon as the quote is accepted, you receive a detailed written confirmation by email: chauffeur name, vehicle model and registration, direct phone number, precise meeting point, flat-rate price and contractual terms. The day of the service, you also receive an SMS with the chauffeur's contact information so you can reach him at any time.
Can I modify or cancel a reservation?
Yes. Any reservation can be modified free of charge up to 24 hours before the service (pickup time, destination, number of passengers, vehicle change subject to availability). Beyond that window, modifications are studied on a case-by-case basis. The cancellation policy is detailed in our Terms of Use and remains flexible for our regular and corporate clients.
Mise à disposition (Hourly Hire)
Everything you need to know about the mise à disposition service: a chauffeur dedicated to you for a few hours, a full day or several consecutive days.
What exactly is a mise à disposition?
Mise à disposition – also called hourly chauffeur hire – is a service in which a chauffeur and a premium vehicle are dedicated exclusively to you for a defined period: a few hours, a half-day, a full day or several consecutive days. Throughout the service, the chauffeur waits for you on site, drives you to all your stops in Paris or beyond, and adapts in real time to your schedule, with no kilometre limit within the agreed area.
What is the minimum duration for a mise à disposition?
The minimum duration is generally 3 hours in Paris and Île-de-France. Beyond that, you can book by half-day (4 hours), full day (8 to 10 hours) or for several consecutive days. Each additional hour can be added on the spot if your day runs longer than planned, subject to the chauffeur's availability.
Can I make multiple stops during a mise à disposition?
Yes, and that is precisely the advantage of this service. You can plan as many stops as you wish: business meetings, lunch, private shopping on Avenue Montaigne, cultural visits, hotel pickups for your guests, etc. The chauffeur waits for you on site between stops and remains constantly reachable. Itinerary changes during the service are made very easily.
Is the mise à disposition suitable for business trips and roadshows?
Absolutely. Mise à disposition is the ideal service for executives, corporate delegations and international roadshows. Your chauffeur is briefed in advance on your schedule, manages waiting times between meetings, optimizes routes according to Paris traffic, and can also pick up your guests, partners or family members during the service.
Can I take the chauffeur outside Paris during a mise à disposition?
Yes. Mise à disposition can be extended outside the Île-de-France area: regional travel (Reims, Deauville, Loire Valley castles, Champagne region), neighbouring countries (Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland) or full European tours. Long-distance journeys are quoted as a package taking into account chauffeur driving time, kilometres covered and any accommodation requirements.
VIP Service – Transfer & Mise à disposition
Our most exclusive service, designed for public figures, executives and clients who demand total discretion and impeccable security.
How does the VIP service differ from the standard service?
The VIP service goes far beyond a regular transfer or mise à disposition. It includes: top-tier vehicles (Mercedes-Maybach, Mercedes V-Class VIP, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Range Rover Autobiography, armoured vehicles on request), specially selected chauffeurs trained in close protection and defensive driving, advance scouting of strategic locations, confidential itineraries, systematic non-disclosure agreements, a dedicated mission leader and 24/7 coordination throughout the service.
Can the VIP service be booked as a transfer, a mise à disposition or both?
Yes, the LAP VIP service is available in both formats. The VIP transfer is a confidential point-to-point journey (airport, palace, private residence, official meeting). The VIP mise à disposition is a fully dedicated chauffeur for the duration of a stay, mission or tour, available 24/7 with the same level of confidentiality, the same security partners and the same coordination protocols.
Are armoured vehicles really available?
Yes, on request and after compliance verification. We work with a network of qualified partners specialising in B4 to B7 armoured vehicles (sedans, SUVs, VIP vans). The provision of an armoured vehicle requires longer lead time, an in-depth threat analysis and the establishment of a tailor-made mission plan, sometimes in coordination with your existing security teams.
Is absolute confidentiality really guaranteed?
Yes, confidentiality is at the very heart of our VIP service. Every team member assigned to your mission signs a strict non-disclosure agreement. No information about your identity, your travels or your contacts ever leaves the restricted team in charge of the service. Reporting is confidential, written communications are reduced to a minimum and a single dedicated mission leader is your sole point of contact.
Who is the VIP service intended for?
The VIP service is reserved for clients with very specific requirements: heads of state, members of royal families, ministers and diplomats, CEOs of international groups, public figures (artists, athletes, top executives), high-net-worth families, international productions handling celebrity talent and any client wishing to combine maximum comfort, perfect punctuality and total privacy.
Fleet & Vehicles
An overview of the vehicles available, their characteristics and how to choose the right one for your service.
What vehicles are available in your fleet?
Our fleet is regularly renewed and includes: Mercedes E-Class and S-Class for executive transfers, Mercedes V-Class for families and small groups, Mercedes V-Class VIP for executive chauffeur service, Mercedes Sprinter and Sprinter VIP for delegations and roadshows, as well as exceptional vehicles for VIP service: Mercedes-Maybach 580 and 680, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover Autobiography. All vehicles are recent, fully insured and prepared daily.
How many passengers can each vehicle accommodate?
The Mercedes E and S-Class accommodate up to 3 passengers with standard luggage. The Mercedes V-Class accommodates up to 6 passengers (4 in VIP configuration with extra-comfort layout). The Sprinter accommodates up to 15 passengers and the Sprinter VIP up to 8 in a lounge configuration. For our exceptional vehicles, capacity varies between 2 and 4 passengers depending on the model and configuration.
Are child or baby seats provided?
Yes, free of charge and on simple request at the time of booking. We provide rear-facing baby seats (0-13 kg), front-facing child seats (9-18 kg) and booster seats (15-36 kg). For multi-child families, simply indicate the age and weight of each child so we can prepare the right equipment in advance.
Can I request a specific vehicle for my service?
Yes. You can specify a precise model when requesting a quote (for example: Mercedes S-Class Long, Mercedes V-Class VIP black, Maybach 680). Subject to availability on the requested date, we confirm the chosen vehicle in writing in the booking confirmation. For events, weddings or shoots, we can also arrange to have several identical vehicles arrive together to ensure a coordinated procession.

Each European service is the subject of a tailor-made plan with the right chauffeur, the right vehicle and full administrative compliance.

Yes, that is one of our specialities. We design international tours over several days or weeks (typically Paris – Brussels – Amsterdam – Frankfurt – Geneva – Milan – Monaco or any other combination). The tour includes the dedicated chauffeur, the vehicle of your choice, accommodation logistics for the chauffeur, optimised itineraries, scheduled stops at restaurants or tourist sites and continuous reachability of our coordination cell.
Pricing & Payment
How our rates work, what is included, and the payment methods accepted by our luxury chauffeur service.
How are LAP's rates calculated?
Our rates are calculated according to several criteria: the type of service (transfer, mise à disposition, VIP), the duration or distance, the chosen vehicle, the time slot (day, night, public holidays) and any specific requests (child seats, multilingual chauffeur, armoured vehicle, decoration for an event). Each quote is fully transparent and the all-inclusive price is fixed at the time of booking: no meter, no surprises.
What is included in the announced price?
The announced price always includes: the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, tolls, parking fees, reasonable waiting time on flight tracking, complimentary mineral water, high-speed Wi-Fi on board, child seats on request and VAT. The only additional fees that may apply are: additional kilometres outside the agreed area, hours added on the spot during a mise à disposition or specific equipment requested afterwards.
Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), bank transfers (recommended for corporate clients and long stays) and cash up to the legal limit in France. Corporate clients can also benefit from a monthly invoicing solution with deferred payment by transfer, subject to opening an account with our accounting department.
Is a deposit required to confirm a booking?
For a standard transfer or mise à disposition, no deposit is required for individual clients: payment is made on the day of the service or by deferred invoicing for established accounts. For services involving exceptional vehicles (Maybach, Rolls-Royce, armoured vehicles), multi-day European tours or large-scale events, a partial deposit may be requested at confirmation, the terms of which are detailed in the personalized quote.
